OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A traffic collision on northbound Interstate 5 in Oceanside has prompted the closure of several lanes, gridlocking traffic in the area. According to Caltrans San Diego, the right three lanes are blocked due to the incident.
California Highway Patrol first reported the crash around noon on Saturday, noting in a Sig Alert that a truck and trailer had overturned on the freeway south of Harbor Drive.
Traffic officials said traffic was backed up all the way to Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad. CHP said delays should be expected for a couple of hours.
No further details were immediately released, including how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was seriously injured in the collison.
