DALLAS (KDAF) — With the MLB season in full swing and the 4th of July coming up, it’s the perfect time to celebrate a favorite ballpark snack – hot dogs.
A new study created the “MLB Wiener League Rankings,” a data-driven system that calculated every team’s signature hot dog, scored by length, price-per-inch, toppings, napkin necessity, and creativity.
The Rangers’ Boomstick Hot Dog ranks fifth in the MLB, with a rating of 72 out of 100. The classic but creative build features four toppings, including chili and nacho cheese, earning a 5/5 for variety. On max messiness: its cheesy toppings keep the napkin necessity score at 5/5. And for decent value: Fans are paying $1.37 per inch, the 14th best-value overall.
