CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Seven people were sent to the hospital for inhalation at Charlotte Douglas International Airport Friday night, Medic officials say.
Medic confirmed its response to the mass casualty event to a plane at CLT around 10 p.m. They transported six patients with minor symptoms and another with serious ones to Atrium Health CMC.
Medic says “there was an unknown odor,” but it may have been jet fuel.
The incident occurred during a ground stop at the airport that was in place from 6:30 p.m. until being lifted at 10 p.m.
