POINCIANA, Fla. (WFLA) — A suspect was injured in a shooting involving a Polk County Sheriff’s deputy Monday, according to authorities.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting happened in Poinciana.
No deputies were injured. The injured suspect was taken into custody.
Officials did not provide any further information on the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Sheriff Grady Judd is expected to brief the media at 5:30 p.m. A livestream will begin around that time.
