‘Ted Lasso’ to film in Blue Springs this summer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — “Ted Lasso” will be filming in the Kansas City metro this summer!

Some Blue Springs and Lee’s Summit residents got a letter Tuesday informing them that the show will be filming in the area in July. The letter states Warner Brothers has filed special use permits in both areas for the filming.

The city of Blue Springs shared the following statement with FOX4 on Wednesday:

“We’re thrilled to welcome the cast and crew of Ted Lasso to Blue Springs. Having a show with such a positive and inspiring message film in our city is an exciting opportunity to showcase our community on a global stage.”

Lee’s Summit also confirmed with FOX4 that a special use permit has been filed; however, it has not yet been approved.

Last week, FOX4 reported that the show was holding a casting call for Missouri actors needed as stand-ins for the show.

The award-winning television series starring Kansas City’s Jason Sudeikis is set to film its fourth season this summer.

This is developing story. Stay with FOX4 for the latest updates.
