Texas ranks 9th in game-day costs for sports fans

DALLAS (KDAF) — Did you know that two-thirds of Americans consider themselves sports fans — but with rising costs, how many can actually afford to attend a game in person?

To find out, the team at Hard Rock Bet analyzed game-day costs across all 124 teams in the four major U.S. sports leagues, calculating the total fan experience, which included factors like the price of a ticket, a soda, and a hot dog. 

The results? Texas ranks as the 9th most expensive state for fans to catch a live game, with an average game-day cost of $476.53.
