CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A tropical storm formed Saturday morning off the southeast coast, which will bring heavy rainfall to much of coastal South Carolina through Sunday morning.
The National Hurricane Center issued a tropical storm watch from Edisto Beach to Little River Inlet.
Forecasters say tropical storm conditions in the watch area are anticipated beginning Saturday through Sunday morning.
Impacts include heavy rainfall, some flash flooding, windy conditions along the coast, and rough surf and rip currents for the next couple of days.
The tropical storm is likely to bring rip currents and flooding on Sunday morning.
