Two injured in lightning strike near Columbus school

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Two people are hospitalized after being injured in a lightning strike near a northeast Columbus high school Sunday afternoon.

According to Columbus police dispatchers, the incident was reported at approximately 7:30 p.m. while the victims were in the soccer field near Northland High School.

Both victims were taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital, one in critical condition, the other in stable condition.

There is no further information available at this time.
