Where to find Fourth of July fireworks, drone displays in Portland area

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Personal fireworks may be prohibited in the City of Portland, but there are still ways to catch a show in the area.

The following places are hosting fireworks displays, drone shows or laser shows to mark the Fourth of July.

Hillsboro Hops

When: Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5
Where: Hillsboro Ballpark, 4460 NE Century Blvd, Hillsboro, OR 97124

After the Hillsboro Hops compete against the Eugene Emeralds on Friday and Saturday, Hillsboro Park will host a fireworks show. Tickets for the first game are sold out, but spots are still available for a close look at the second display.

Waterfront Blues Festival

When: Friday, July 4 at 10 p.m.
Where: Tom McCall Waterfront Park, 98 SW Naito Pkwy, Portland, OR 97204

Portland’s biggest fireworks display occurs at the annual Waterfront Blues Festival. Festival attendees may have one of the best views, but the display can also be seen from the nearby parks and bridges.

Oregon State Fairgrounds

When: Friday, July 4 at 10 p.m.
Where: 2330 17th St NE, Salem, OR 97301

Ahead of the Oregon State Fair in August, the fairgrounds will host a Fourth of July Spectacular that concludes with a 20-minute fireworks display. Admission to the event is free, although parking costs $10.

Oaks Amusement Park

When: Friday, July 4 at 10 p.m.
Where: 7805 SE Oaks Park Way, Portland, OR 97202

Oaks Amusement Park’s holiday spectacular also ends with a fireworks display. Entry costs $38.50, which includes all-day access to carnival rides.

Cook Family Park

When: Friday, July 4 at 10 p.m.
Where: 17005 SW 92nd Ave, Tigard, OR 97224

The City of Tigard held its first-ever drone show in 2024. Its return this year will feature 250 upgraded drones and “your favorite songs from the past 60 years.”

Oak Hills

When: Friday, July 4 at 10 p.m.
Where: Oak Hills Recreation Center, 2400 NW 153rd Ave., Beaverton, OR 97006

More than 8,000 people attend the fireworks display in Beaverton’s Oak Hills neighborhood each year, according to event organizers. Pre-pay entry costs $7 for adults and $5 for children.

Foothills Park

When: Friday, July 4 at 10:15 p.m.
Where: 199 Foothills Rd, Lake Oswego, OR 97034

The City of Lake Oswego is opting for a “remarkable and unique” laser show. Food trucks will be on-site as well.
