CLEVELAND (WJW) – A woman has died and a teenager is injured after a shooting in Cleveland on Saturday afternoon.
According to a press release from the Cleveland Division of Police, the shooting happened on the 6700 block of Schaefer Avenue shortly before 3:40 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 46-year-old woman who was shot inside a vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.
The second victim, a 15-year-old girl, was also inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting and sustained a gunshot to the leg. She was then taken to the hospital, the release said.
The investigation into this shooting is ongoing.
