Bangladesh’s self-exiled former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been sentenced to six months in prison for contempt of court by the country’s International Crimes Tribunal (ICT). The chief prosecutor said Ms Hasina would serve the sentence the day she returned to Bangladesh or surrendered to the court. Adjunct Researcher at Western Sydney University’s Humanitarian & Development Research Initiative Dr Mubashar Hasan joined The World from Sydney.
