Two men convicted of murdering Aboriginal schoolboy Cassius Turvey have been sentenced to life in prison. Cassius Turvey, 15, was chased down and savagely beaten with a metal pole while walking with friends after school in Perth’s east, in October 2022. In the WA Supreme Court on Friday afternoon, Jack Brearley, 24, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a 22 year minimum. His accomplice Brodie Palmer, 30, has been sentenced to life imprisonment with an 18 year minimum for his role in the murder.
