The South Australian doctors’ union has alleged a patient at Flinders Medical Centre’s emergency department attempted to grab a police officer’s gun.
SA Police has denied the claim, saying there was no risk to patient safety.
But doctors remain concerned about what they say is an alarming spike of violent incidents at the hospital.
