Police in Pakistan are cracking down on illegal wildlife ownership after a pet lion that had escaped its enclosure mauled a woman and her two young children in Lahore. Authorities say 18 lions kept illegally as pets have since been confiscated in Pakistan’s Punjab region and eight people have been arrested for keeping and breeding the cats.
