Ukrainian Drone Strike Destroys Fully Armed Russian Rocket Launcher in Kupyansk (Video)

(Kupyansk) – Ukrainian forces have once again demonstrated the sharp precision and innovation of their aerial reconnaissance and strike capabilities with a dramatic destruction of a fully loaded Russian multiple rocket launcher system. The incident occurred in the temporarily occupied territories of eastern Ukraine and was documented by the elite aerial unit known as “Magyar Birds.”

According to drone operators involved in the operation, this strike was not a routine attack. While Ukrainian units consistently destroy between five thousand and six thousand Russian military targets each month, only around ten multiple rocket launcher systems, such as the one destroyed in this strike, are hit with such devastating effectiveness. The rarity is not due to lack of skill, but due to the complexity of identifying and targeting such systems when they are loaded with their full complement of 40 missiles.

Footage of the strike, shared by unit commander Magyar on social media, shows the moment the Russian rocket system, parked in a firing position, is obliterated in a violent detonation. The video includes the eerie silence before impact and the deafening aftermath, as flames and debris consume the launch vehicle.

In a characteristically defiant tone, Magyar accompanied the footage with a sardonic commentary celebrating the strike: “Fat and lard! The bass guitar,” he joked, referring to the massive explosion. The operator also warned that Russian occupiers cannot hide, as “a drone is waiting in every wormy head.”

The destruction of such a weapon system carries significant implications. Each of these Russian multiple rocket launcher systems can launch massive salvos capable of raining destruction across wide civilian or military targets.
