(Kursk Region) – Ukrainian assault troops have successfully captured a fortified Russian company stronghold in the Kursk region after a sustained and precise operation involving artillery, FPV drones, and ground infantry. The defensive position, once a major obstacle on a vital axis of advance, is now under full Ukrainian control, with Russian resistance neutralised.
The target, a company level strongpoint designed for all direction defence, was heavily reinforced with bunkers, dugouts, trench systems, and firing positions. It had been built to serve as a central node in Russia’s defensive grid, safeguarding key supply and troop routes in the area. The position had been under sustained Ukrainian artillery fire for several days, with precision drone strikes further softening the enemy defences before the final assault.
In the final stage of the operation, captured on video, assault troops from Ukraine’s 225th unit stormed the stronghold using hand grenades, demolition charges, and even TM anti tank mines. Their push broke through the remaining pockets of resistance and secured the area after a close quarters firefight.
