Russia is transferring all its most combat-ready units to the Pokrovsk direction.
According to the analytical department of the Right Cause public interest group, the most combat-ready units of the Russian occupation army have been redeployed from the Zaporizhzhia sector to Pokrovsk. Specifically, this includes the 76th Airborne Division. However, the redeployment of the marine units clearly appears to be a personnel rotation.
Currently, it is the naval infantry units of the occupying power’s armed forces that have suffered the most serious losses of personnel. For example, the Russian occupiers’ 810th Naval Infantry Brigade has already seen four full complements of personnel. In other words, the losses are catastrophic. Undermanning, deaths, and the formation of new battalion tactical groups from untrained personnel have reduced the brigade’s combat effectiveness. Calling these units "marines" is a bit of a stretch, as they are currently being staffed by former Russian prisoners. That is, those individuals who, according to the Russian dictator’s decree, have the right to sign contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense directly in the courtroom. Therefore, Russians should forget about such a real unit as the marines.
The current Russian "marines" are the equivalent of the "penal" units of the occupation army, such as "Storm Z" or "Storm V".
At the same time, I note that the very fact of the redeployment of units of the 76th Airborne Division demonstrates that the Russian occupiers have virtually no operational reserves. This is quite remarkable. Moreover, despite their vast superiority in manpower in the Zaporizhzhia and Pokrovsk sectors, the most combat-ready units of the Russian occupation army are being used as operational reserves and assault units. These include the marine units. Although assault operations in urban areas are not part of the marines’ responsibilities. A similar situation exists with airborne units, which are effectively being deployed in "meat assaults." Therefore, it’s currently impossible to talk about the occupiers having combat-ready units, especially given the number of casualties among the occupation forces. For example, in the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy’s daily losses, according to Ukrainian data, are approximately 500. Another 300 are being lost in the Zaporizhzhia sector. Speaking specifically about Pokrovsk, it is worth refuting the information of some foreign analysts about the alleged seizure of the city by the occupiers.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding their positions in Pokrovsk. Reports by some Western analysts that occupation forces have taken complete control of the city are untrue. Moreover, it should be noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are successfully eliminating enemy personnel from the so-called assault groups. Russia is suffering heavy losses. Assessing the importance of the Pokrovsk direction and the city of Pokrovsk in particular, it is worth noting that for the Russian dictator this is now more of a political issue.
