A MiG-29 fighter jet of the Armed Forces of Ukraine crashed during landing after completing a combat mission.
This was reported by the official page of the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.
The pilot, Major Bondar Serhii Viktorovych, born in 1979, died in the crash.
He was 46 years old at the time of the crash.
According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, work has begun to establish the causes of the tragedy.
It is worth noting that on June 6th, 2025, Major Bondar was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, III degree, according to Presidential Decree No. 392/2025.
Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the Ukrainian Air Force had lost a Mirage-2000 fighter jet due to a technical malfunction. In a critical situation, the pilot acted professionally and successfully ejected.
