World’s tallest Jesus statue enters its final phase of construction.
A 77-meter monument in Armenia – a combination of a 33-meter aluminum statue and 44-meter pedestal – is set to become the world’s tallest depiction of Jesus Christ.
The current record is held by the 61-meter Jesus Christ the Savior statue in Sumatra, Indonesia, which stands on an 8-meter plinth.
After years of delays and setbacks, the completion of the whole project in Armenia is now tentatively scheduled for 2027, according to its planners.
