Azerbaijan JUST Did Something Unbelievable for Ukraine Against Russia—MIG-29 Appeared

#ukrainewar #ukrainewarupdate #military #militarydevelopments #militarystrategy
OSINT photos circulating in late summer show a Ukrainian‑marked MiG‑29 wearing Azerbaijan’s distinctive blue‑grey camouflage. Reputable defense media frame it as plausible evidence that at least one Azeri Fulcrum is now flying with Ukraine—while stressing the status is unconfirmed (donated, sold, seized, or simply completed and retained after overhaul). Azerbaijan had three MiG‑29s at the Lviv State Aircraft Repair Plant when Russia struck that facility in March 2022; at least one airframe appears to have survived.

This airframe buzz coincides with Baku–Moscow tensions after two reported Russian attacks (Aug 8 & Aug 18) on a SOCAR‑linked fuel terminal in Odesa. Kyiv publicly framed the second strike as an attack on Ukraine–Azerbaijan ties and regional energy security. In parallel, Ukraine and partners tested Azerbaijani gas flows toward Ukraine via the Trans‑Balkan route—another strand in the same geopolitics. None of this proves a formal transfer, but the timing and incentives align: Ukraine needs airframes; Baku signals leverage; Moscow signals costs. Expect more OSINT on the camo jet, more deniable energy‑sector pressure, and more insurance‑market jitters around Odesa.
