Belarus Pardons 31 Ukrainian Citizens

The spokeswoman for Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko said that he had pardoned 31 Ukrainian citizens.

Natalia Eismont told this to journalists of the state TV channel Belarus 1, reports Suspilne.

According to her, the decision was made at the request of the Ukrainian side “in order to create conditions for the settlement of the armed conflict” in Ukraine.

“In furtherance of the agreements reached between U.S. President Donald Trump and President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, at the request of the Ukrainian side, in order to create conditions for the settlement of the armed conflict in the neighboring state, guided by the principles of humanism and as a gesture of goodwill, the President pardoned 31 citizens of Ukraine,” Eismont said.

As a reminder, this month in Minsk, Belarusian Maksim Ralko, a former fighter of the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. It is unknown how he ended up in Belarus.

Belarusian propagandists claim that Ralko was allegedly involved in the preparation of a forceful resistance. The authorities have not provided any evidence or open case files.
