Russia’s war against Ukraine will continue as long as Russian dictator and war criminal Vladimir Putin remains in power in the Russian Federation, or until the Ukrainian Defense Forces strike such blows against Russia that it will not be able to recover. This was stated in an interview with Glavred by diplomat, head of the Center for Russian Studies, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Volodymyr Ohryzko.
According to Ohryzko, war is a continuous process of providing the front line with everything necessary, in particular ammunition, weapons, food, fuel and oils. In order to paralyze a combat group at the front, it is necessary to deprive it of access to this supply. "If the Ukrainian army interrupts the logistics chains, knocks out airfields located in the European part of Russia, from where attacks on civilian facilities are carried out, if it forces Russian aviation to redeploy beyond the Urals, when oil and gas facilities are destroyed, as well as enterprises that work for the Russian military-industrial complex – then, excuse me, there will be nothing to fight with," he points out. He stresses that for Ukraine to succeed, it is not just a physical confrontation that is needed, but also a technological advantage that can be achieved by destroying the enemy’s logistics, infrastructure and supply system. In that case, he says, Putin will simply not have the resources to wage war.
The diplomat stressed that this should be the main strategy. And the actions of the Ukrainian military last week demonstrate that they are already capable of acting in this format, even with limited resources. One has only to imagine what results can be achieved with proper support.
"That’s why we’re back to the main thing – we need a lot of modern weapons. This could break the back of the Russian military machine," he summed up.
So, Russian troops in Ukraine are in a very difficult situation. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s strategy is like putting his troops through a meat grinder. Putin has not changed his desire to occupy all of Ukraine, to capture Kyiv and Odesa, but his army is practically paralyzed with huge losses.
