Davos talks show alignment on Greenland’s security future | Morning Report

Our main stories today:
– If there’s one thing that Mark Rutte agrees with President Donald Trump on, it’s the premise that Greenland must remain off limits to the likes of Russia and China. After having a discussion with POTUS on the sidelines of the Davos Forum, the NATO head emphasized the talks’ positive direction.

– In Brussels, strengthening bilateral and allied cooperation in high-priority security landscapes is at the top of the agenda for a meeting between the NATO alliance’s military chiefs of staff. Among the topics being discussed, the High North and Ukraine are key areas of interest.

– As the eyes of the world cautiously watched the U.S. President’s every move in fear of possible escalation over Greenland, time and war moves on in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, where hundreds of thousands of residents have fled the city this past month, as the bitter cold and lack of electricity make life a struggle.
