A dog briefly interrupted a cross-country skiing qualifier at the Winter Olympics, chasing two athletes as they approached the finish line. The animal appeared friendly and was later removed without incident.
Organizers initially joked online that the dog deserved “all the medals,” though the post was later deleted. The disruption affected only qualifiers. In the final, Sweden won gold, Switzerland took silver and Germany claimed bronze.
