Drones Likely Strike Ammunition Depot in Occupied Donetsk

On the night of October 17th, a series of explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk, resembling the detonation of a large amount of ammunition.

This is evidenced by eyewitness videos published by the Typical Donetsk Telegram channel.

Before the explosions, drone flights were observed over the city occupied by Russian forces.

Local public pages began reporting the sound of drones flying overhead after 2 a.m.

Later, videos began to appear showing explosions and flashes, and the residents of the city were advised to stay away from windows.

Based on the footage, the drone strikes appear to have targeted an ammunition depot of the Russian forces.

The destruction of ammunition stockpiles belonging to the Russian army in temporarily occupied territory is highly significant. A shortage of shells and missiles limits the occupiers’ ability to shell Ukrainian positions and civilian areas.
