The European Union has given its final approval for a €90 billion loan to Ukraine. Speaking at an EU leaders’ summit in Cyprus, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked European leaders for what he described as unprecedented financial support. The loan’s first tranche is likely to be disbursed at the end of May or in early June, aimed at stabilizing Ukraine’s economy and supporting wartime needs.
This 18th Kyiv Security Forum brought together international leaders, military experts, and diplomats to discuss the ongoing war. Among the notable participants are Prince Harry, former Polish President Andrzej Duda, and Kyrylo Budanov, chief of staff in Zelenskyy’s office.
Russian forces launched another overnight attack on the city of Dnipro, killing three people and wounding at least ten others. Ukrainian drones continued targeting Russian oil infrastructure, this time striking the Gorky oil pumping station in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region.
