A major fire swept through an alternative fuel processing plant in southeastern Poland late Friday, prompting warnings for residents to stay indoors. Eighteen fire engines were deployed to Stalowa Wola, bringing the blaze under control within hours. After air quality tests, the city’s mayor said there was no threat to people or the environment, and no injuries were reported.
