The Udmurt Republic in Russia came under attack overnight on the night of February 21, apparently using strike weapons. It is noted that a plant producing missiles for the Iskander and Oreshnik missile systems has been damaged in Russia, according to reports from both Russian and Ukrainian Telegram groups. According to the ASTRA channel , the Votkinsk Plant JSC in Votkinsk, Udmurtia, was hit during the overnight attack. As the public page notes, the company produces Iskander-M, Topol-M, and Oreshnik missiles. According to ASTRA, city residents are writing in local chats about damage to workshops No. 22 and No. 36. The Ukrainian OSINT project "KiberBoroshno" reports that the strike was carried out by Flamingo missiles. A number of other channels have also hinted at this. The distance from Votkinsk to the border with Ukraine is about 1,400 kilometers. The head of the Udmurt Republic, Alexander Brechalov, in a video address on Telegram, stated that Ukrainian Armed Forces drones attacked one of the facilities in the republic. According to him, there are injured, but the number of injured is not disclosed. The ASTRA channel, citing local residents, reported explosions in the town of Votkinsk even before Brechalov’s official comment. Meanwhile, on the evening of February 20, co-owner of Ukrainian defense company Fire Point, Denys Shtilerman, posted a video on X of missiles being launched with the caption: “Here’s a short video. No context. The context will come later”. As a reminder, Fire Point specializes in the production of kamikaze drones and Flamingo cruise missiles.
