India has suspended the purchase of P-8 Poseidon anti-submarine patrol aircraft due to tariffs imposed by Trump.

The new tariffs increase the cost of purchasing Boeing aircraft by more than 50%, which does not suit the Indian government, which planned to receive six more aircraft of this type with a total value of USD 2.42 billion.
As the publication notes, the Indian Ministry of Defense has now decided to conduct a strategic reassessment of this project, which could potentially threaten Boeing with contract termination.
India previously signed a contract for the purchase of eight P-8I aircraft in 2009 for a total of USD 2.2 billion. In 2016, the country placed another order for four of these aircraft worth USD 1 billion.
These aircraft replace the Soviet Tu-142M, which were operated from 1988 to 2017, in the Indian naval aviation.
Militarnyi also reported that the Indian Army Aviation received the first batch of AH-64E Apache attack helicopters from Boeing.
