US and Israeli strikes against Iran are gradually escalating into a conflict with an ever-increasing number of participants. Saudi Arabia has announced its decision to join the US and Israel in the war against Iran. Meanwhile, a large military force in Iraq has sided with Iran, vowing to attack US bases in the region. Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the aggression against Iran and called for a return to negotiations. However, it appears the Americans have chosen a different path: news has emerged of the deployment of ground forces to the region, indicating preparations for a ground operation.
Saudi Arabia warned Iran of grave consequences for attacks on countries in the region. The Kingdom’s Foreign Ministry condemned "Iranian aggression" and the flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan.
The agency’s statement also warned of the serious consequences of continued violations of the sovereignty of these countries and the principles of international law.
It is significant that the leadership of El-Riyadh did not say a word about the fact that Iran’s strikes were a response to the aggression of the United States and Israel, and that the Islamic Republic’s missiles did not hit Arab targets, but rather US military bases located in these countries .
Earlier, it became known that Yemen’s Houthis supported Iran and launched an attack on American bases and an aircraft carrier.
The operational command of the Iraq-based Kataib militant group said it would soon begin attacking American bases in the region.
Pakistan condemned the US and Israeli aggression against Iran: Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Dr. Seyed Abbas Araqchi, called the US and Israeli attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran unjustified and strongly condemned them.
As for Russia, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement regarding the armed aggression against Iran. It called the incident a planned and unprovoked act of armed aggression against a sovereign and independent UN member state, in violation of the fundamental principles and norms of international law:
"Washington and Tel Aviv have once again embarked on a dangerous adventure that is rapidly bringing the region closer to a humanitarian, economic, and possibly radiological catastrophe."
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded that the situation be immediately returned “to the channel of political and diplomatic settlement.”
Earlier, Dmitry Medvedev hinted that the US could use the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine as a diversionary tactic – as it did with Iran.
Meanwhile, active sorties of American military transport aircraft are being recorded. Against this backdrop, speculation is swirling online about possible preparations for a ground operation against Iran. US media outlets are reporting that the attack on Iran could last several weeks.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said Iran’s military operation would continue "until the enemy is decisively defeated."
