The French military released footage Thursday showing what it said was a Rafale fighter jet intercepting a drone at an undisclosed location in the Middle East. According to Associated Press the footage, provided by the French Air and Space Force, shows the jet firing a missile at the drone. The drone is then seen falling into the sea. The French Army described it as a "Defensive Counter Air" mission. France, which maintains two bases in the Middle East, says it is operating alongside Gulf allies under existing defence agreements.
