“Law must take its course”: King Charles reacts to former Prince arrest | Midday Report

Our main stories today:
– The law must take its course. These were the words of King Charles after his younger brother and former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested at the royal family’s estate in Sandringham, on his 66th birthday, and charged with misconduct in public office.

– Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has urged Polish citizens to leave Iran immediately. This warning comes as tensions between U.S. and Iran are mounting, with Washington deploying a fleet of warships and aircraft to the Middle East.

– U.S. President Donald Trump is hosting the inaugural meeting of his Board of Peace, with representatives from more than 45 countries set to attend. Originally pitched as a body to oversee peace and reconstruction in Gaza, the board has stirred controversy with key powers like France, the U.K., Russia, and China sitting out, and Poland’s government declining to join but sitting in as an observer instead.
