Ukrainian company Fire Point has delivered a new batch of the latest domestically produced Flamingo long-range cruise missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Associated Press journalist Yefrem Lukatsky reported this on Facebook. Lukatskyi recalled that Fire Point produces not only missiles but also various types of unmanned aerial vehicles, including the FP-1. According to him, FP-1 drones currently account for over 50% of all Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes on military and strategic targets in Russia. These drones are in high demand among Ukrainian soldiers. Efrem Lukatsky posted new photos of the Flamingo missile on his Facebook page. Even the photos demonstrate the power of this Ukrainian weapon. Fire Point developed the Flamingo cruise missile several months ago. It is currently the longest-range Ukrainian weapon. The Flamingo has a range of 3,000 km with a warhead weighing over 1,000 kg. It’s worth noting that American Tomahawk cruise missiles have a range of 1,600 to 2,500 km, depending on the version. The Flamingo missile’s performance characteristics are kept secret, which is understandable. Media reports suggest it is superior to the Tomahawk in some respects. The Ukrainian missile has a longer range, but other characteristics are also important for such a weapon. According to unofficial reports, the Ukrainian Armed Forces first used this new missile against Russian military and strategic targets in the spring of 2025. In November, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were already using the Flamingo. However, it is not yet in serial production. According to Zelenskyy, mass production of the Flamingo will begin in December of this year or in early 2026. Flamingo missiles use solid fuel. Producing such fuel in Ukraine is extremely difficult given the constant air strikes by Russian occupiers. Therefore, Fire Point will build a solid fuel production plant abroad. Ukrainian military expert Roman Svitan also explained where the Flamingos will fly. He directly links the range of Ukrainian weapons to the targets that will become accessible and the type of attack that will be carried out on Russia’s oil and gas infrastructure. Svitan explained that operational UAVs with a range of 500–700 km would cover targets as far as the Volga. Drones with a range of 1,500–2,000 km would allow for strikes in the Urals. If Flamingo missiles, with a stated range of approximately 3,000 km, are put into production, key components—the Yamal Cross and major oil refineries, including the Omsk refinery—will be targeted. According to the pilot instructor, this means a real capability to "reach and completely shut down the Russian oil industry . " "We’ll be able to reach and completely shut down the Russian oil industry. The Russian gas industry is very easy to shut down. Once we reach the Yamal Cross, we’ll completely shut down their entire gas infrastructure ," says Svitan
