Londoners woke up to a mysterious new statue today. The sculpture shows a man blinded by a flag as he walks off a ledge. Experts link the work to Banksy and suggest it critiques nationalism.
James Peak, the creator of the BBC podcast series The Banksy Story, describes the piece as quite simple: “It is a comment on a bumptious, chest puffed out man in power with the flag completely obscuring his vision.”
