One person was killed and at least seven were injured in the latest Russian strikes against Ukraine. This time, the regions of Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Poltava have found themselves in the middle of an intense drone barrage, with civilian and energy infrastructure once again becoming Moscow’s main target.
As the U.S.-led peace initiative continues to take shape, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is heading for a Monday summit with his European allies in London. With the initial draft of the peace plan seen as unfavorable towards Kyiv, leaders of France, Germany and the U.K. are pushing back against Moscow’s demands and towards more robust security guarantees for Ukraine. During his latest address, Zelenskyy said the talks with his U.S. partners so far have been “constructive, but not easy.”
In the latest comment on the ongoing Ukraine peace process, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday he felt disappointed with President Zelenskyy. The American President claimed that his Ukrainian counterpart “hasn’t read” the current peace plan yet, despite both Zelenskyy’s envoys and Russian diplomats having already approved of the proposal.
