A 56-year-old Sherpa guide just climbed Mount Everest for the 32nd time, breaking his own world record. Kami Rita Sherpa reached the 8,849-metre summit on Sunday, having first climbed it in 1994.
On the same expedition, 52-year-old Lhakpa Sherpa completed her 11th ascent, the most by any woman in history.
Mount Everest has now been climbed by over 8,000 people since its first ascent in 1953.
