According to Jon Carter, this victory was not just about one star, but rather proof that Polish tennis now has real depth. Hubert Hurkacz’s comeback was particularly notable. Iga Świątek enters the Australian Open as a favorite, and Carter believes she has learned to win even when conditions don’t perfectly suit her game.
The biggest surprise of the weekend was Klaudia Zwolińska winning the Sports Personality of the Year award following her historic performance in the canoe slalom world championships.
