RUSSIA WILL NOT VACATE ITS CONSULATE IN POLAND DESPITE ORDER
Russia’s foreign ministry has said it will not vacate its consulate in Poland’s Gdańsk, despite an order for it to cease operations by Tuesday. In a letter to city authorities, the ministry said the historic building would be occupied by a technical employee, ostensibly to prevent the transfer of the property.
METHANE EXPLOSION IN POLISH COAL MINE
Tragic news from southern Poland. A methane explosion caused a mining tunnel to collapse in Pawłowice in the southeastern part of the country, resulting in the deaths of two miners. The circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated by a special commission.
