Russian occupiers are trying to capture the entire Donetsk region. The enemy is advancing in the direction of Yampol . This was stated by Ukrainian serviceman, junior sergeant, squad leader of the 24th separate assault battalion "Aidar" Stanislav Bunyatov , call sign "Osman".
The enemy is throwing reserves into the Seversk-Lymansk direction. "The trend here is far from positive: the enemy has been exhausting the brigades responsible for these areas for months, and is now making progress," Bunyatov noted.
It is worth noting that Yampol is located 8 kilometers from Lyman, 22 km from Slavyansk, and 30 km from Kramatorsk.
The Russians have increased pressure on the logistics of the Ukrainian military in the Pokrovsk direction. Bunyatov emphasizes that the enemy’s main task is to control the approaches and approaches to the combat contact line.
"The Russians have received UAV reinforcements: they are searching for our UAV positions, and shooting down heavy copters. They are also deploying many "FPV-waiters". Some brigades have learned to identify them and destroy them in time, but the enemy is achieving certain results," Osman noted.
Fierce fighting is also taking place in the area of Rodynskoye. The enemy is trying to storm, wanting to break through to Mirnograd and Pokrovsk. The situation is more stable near Dobropolye. Ukrainian military is doing everything to push the enemy out of their positions.
The head of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation, Sergei Kuzan, noted in an interview with Glavred that about 110 thousand Russian troops are concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction – this is the size of a fairly decent large European army.
Now Ukrainian defenders are having a hard time holding back the enemy army. Kuzan hinted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces may leave Pokrovsk.
"As long as we inflict losses on the enemy several times greater than ours with the help of one or another defensive line – Pokrovsk or any other – it makes sense to hold this line. If a city or a certain territory ceases to perform its main military function as a defensive line, then holding it only for reasons of principle is inappropriate. Our main task is to preserve personnel. Holding any position at the cost of great human losses is unacceptable… Therefore, the fate of Pokrovsk will be decided precisely taking these circumstances into account," Kuzan added.
