Ukraine is reeling from the significant Russian drone strike on Lviv’s historic center, and condemnation is mounting both in Ukraine and Poland. The strike came alongside attacks on Ukraine’s Vinnytsia and in the south Odesa region. Ukraine has followed up with drone attacks on Russian energy hubs.
LATVIAN AND ESTONIAN AIRSPACE VIOLATED
Two drones have entered Latvian airspace, one from Belarus and the other from Russia. Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs has dispelled speculation over the origin of the aircraft that flew in from Russian airspace – saying the drone was not Russian, but Ukrainian.
HUNGARY HALTS GAS FLOW TO UKRAINE
Hungary says it will halt gas shipments to Ukraine, linking the move to continued disruption of oil flows through the Druzhba pipeline. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán says Budapest will instead focus on building up its own gas reserves, with supplies to Ukraine set to be reduced in the coming period.
