One of the Russian channel’s hosts, Solovyov.Live Arutyunov, known as "Razvedos", commenting on Putin’s claims of "unprecedented victories," essentially refuted his dictator. He acknowledged that there are no conditions on any sector of the front for the collapse of the Ukrainian defense, and that fighting continues in Russia itself—in the Kursk region—creating serious problems for Russian troops. Here’s the key part of his speech, broadcast live: "Regarding the collapse of the front… unfortunately, there are currently no preconditions for this on any sector of the front. Quite intense fighting is still underway in the Tetkinsky and Glushkovsky directions of the Kursk region. The enemy there still maintains combat capability, allowing it to create tension for our units."
He further added: "We are putting pressure on Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Donetsk… but the enemy in the Kursk direction still maintains combat capability, allowing it to create tension. And all of this is not very good."
This public remark stands in stark contrast to Putin’s rhetoric in recent weeks, which has been declaring a "break," a "collapse," and a "strategic turning point." The fact that even Putin’s tame media operators are resorting to such rhetoric demonstrates that Moscow’s "victory reports" are increasingly out of sync with reality, even within the propaganda system itself.
Spokesman for the Kursk group of Ukraine, Oleksandr Nevidomy, recently said that some Ukrainian units still continue to carry out combat missions and hold positions on the territory of the Russian Federation. According to him, the situation there is stable and controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, despite the decrease in the number of assault operations, the Kursk direction remains active. “Although the enemy does not refuse to create the “buffer zone” they have declared. For our part, we are thwarting these intentions,” Nevidomyy emphasized. As he noted, the Russians are actively using drones in the group’s area of responsibility. In addition, the enemy is carrying out air strikes, dropping an average of 15 guided bombs per day. “One strike is about 30 KABs. They are being used less and less deep in the operational zone. They are used to harm the battle formations of our group,” he explained.
Recently, State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that drone operators of the Mobile Border Detachment ‘Steel Frontier’ destroyed a communications antenna and the drone launch site of the Russian army in the Kursk direction. Representatives of the agency clarified that destroying these facilities significantly limits the enemy’s ability to observe and launch drones in this sector. Among the other results of the operation – at least six Russian servicemen were eliminated. According to the operational summary, on the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions Ukrainian defenders repel enemy attacks. This development confirms the effectiveness of employing mobile units and constant monitoring of border areas.
