This Proves It’s ALL OVER For Russia’s Navy

Russia appears set to scrap its only aircraft carrier, the Admiral Kuznetsov, as reported by The Economic Times on July 12. Once capable of deploying 16 Yak-41Ms and 12 Su-27Ks, the 58,600-ton ship is now a symbol of failure after years of mechanical breakdowns, fires, and repair delays. A $98.47 billion naval upgrade plan announced in April is unlikely to reverse Russia’s naval decline amid mounting setbacks.

Russia’s ability to repair and sustain its navy is crumbling. Ukraine’s attacks have disabled key Crimean dry docks, leading to total abandonment of repair efforts in the region. With over 26 vessels damaged or destroyed and Turkey blocking naval reinforcements into the Black Sea, Russia’s naval forces are shrinking fast. Western sanctions, inflation, and a failing economy make recovery increasingly unlikely.
