“None of the talks so far have panned out. Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are not the best negotiators to be there. They side with Russia,” says David DeBatto, a geopolitical analyst and former U.S. Army counterintelligence officer, who joined World News Tonight.
Ukraine peace talks are underway in Abu Dhabi, marking the first trilateral meeting between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States since the start of the full-scale invasion. DeBatto believes the talks are unlikely to succeed and are ultimately doomed to fail.
