On the night of December 30, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces carried out a massive attack on Russian military installations within the temporarily occupied Donetsk Airport. The operation resulted in the destruction of a logistics center, ammunition depots, and Shahed and Gerbera attack drones. A strike was also recorded on a concentration of Russian technical personnel servicing and launching the drones.
This was reported by the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Security Service, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi.
According to the commander, “Birds of the 1st Special Operations Center of the SBS inflicted massive damage on the lair for storage, equipment, and preparation of the Shahed/Geran launches in the Donetsk airport on the night of December 30.”
The operation was organized by the reconnaissance of the 414th separate brigade "Birds of Madyar" in cooperation with the newly created center for deep destruction of the Unmanned Systems Forces Group.
This time, Ukrainian drones successfully destroyed: logistics hub "Geranium/Shahed"; Pre-flight preparation and maintenance point Geranium/Shahed and Gerbera; the central composition of the BJD for the BpAK "Geran" / "Shahed"; cumulative composition of the Gerbera UAV; a concentration point for enemy personnel and technical staff, carrying out preparation and pre-launch maintenance of Geranium/Shahed and Gerbera UAVs/
Robert Brovdy listed the targets hit as a logistics hub, pre-flight processing facilities, and a central warehouse for combat parts for unmanned aerial systems. Additionally, a Gerbera UAS storage depot and a staging area for enemy personnel and technical support personnel conducting preparation and pre-launch maintenance for UAVs were hit.
Apostrophe also reported that several regions of the Russian Federation were under attack on the night of December 29. Specifically, explosions were reported near a military facility in the Republic of Adygea, and a missile alert was declared in the Tula Region due to the threat of ballistic missile use.
