Ukraine closed 2025 enduring more than 19,033 air alerts, over 100,000 drones, six dozen guided bombs, and at least 2,400 missiles striking residential areas, energy facilities, and ports, killing and wounding civilians and leaving thousands without power.
On Wednesday, Ukraine’s Secretary of National Security, Rustem Umarov, held a high-level year-end call with U.S. and European partners, including Senator Marco Rubio and advisers from the U.K., Germany, and France.
President Zelenskyy announced plans to appoint a new chief of staff and make regional appointments, expected in early 2026.
Russia continued its attacks on Odesa’s port and infrastructure, while Ukrainian forces reported successful long-range strikes on Russian oil infrastructure, hitting depots and refineries in Rybinsk, Tuapse, and Taman.
