Former FSB officer, one of the key figures in the case of war crimes in Ukraine, Igor Strelkov-Girkin commented in a letter from prison on the drone strike on a Russian defense enterprise in Izhevsk.
According to Strelkov, despite the lack of precise data, the scale of the attack’s consequences speaks for itself. " Judging even by the official media reports about six wounded and evacuated to Moscow by Emergencies Ministry planes, they apparently got there well, " complained the Z-patriot. He paid special attention to the origin of the drone, which, according to him, allegedly "could not have been launched from the territory of Ukraine." He is sure that the UAV was launched either from the territory of the Russian Federation or from Kazakhstan. In both cases, he concludes that an additional threat has emerged within the Russian Federation itself. " If UAVs are launched from Kazakhstan, this means that we are effectively creating a new front ," he emphasized. Strelkov notes that although this "front" is not offensive in nature, Russian air defense forces will be forced to hold it. If the attack was carried out from the territory of the Russian Federation itself, then, according to Strelkov, this is another failure of the special services. The Russian Federation has been waging a full-scale war for four years now, and the level of counteraction to sabotage within the country remains extremely low. He also expressed confidence that attacks on Russian territory would only intensify. " They will bomb us more and more, more and more often, more and more massively ," wrote the Z-patriot. In conclusion, the former leader of the so-called "DPR" noted that his gloomy predictions, as a rule, come true.
Recall, The Russian manufacturer of air defense systems and drones, the Izhevsk plant "Kupol", stopped work after strikes by Ukrainian kamikaze drones on July 1. According to sources from the Russian Telegram channel ASTRA, the strike damaged four production workshops of the enterprise.
According to the channel’s sources, the drone production facility in building No. 1 was damaged as a result of the two drones. Another Ukrainian drone exploded in the window of shop No. 106, and another hit the roof of shop No. 110. As a result of a long-lasting fire, the roof of the production facility with an area of 1,300 sq. m. collapsed inside the building. It is noted that the target of the strikes were workshops where metalworking, microcircuit production and drone production were carried out. ASTRA emphasizes that the production of microcircuits for drones at the enterprise continued in three shifts. After the Ukrainian drone strikes, this work was suspended.
