Ukraine’s Security Service Hits MiG-31 and Three Russian Warships in Crimea

Servicemembers of the Alpha Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) targeted a MiG-31 fighter jet, three Russian warships, a radar station, and the invaders’ headquarters in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The Security Service of Ukraine’s press service reported this.

According to the press service, numerous targets were hit during the special operation at the naval base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol and at the Belbek military airfield.

It was stated that the Security Service of Ukraine drones again struck the Project 775 large landing ship Yamal, the Project 1171 large landing ship Nikolai Filchenkov, and the reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs. The Lukomka training center of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the headquarters of radio-technical intelligence of the air defense forces, the MR-10M1 Mys-M1 radar station, the MiG-31 fighter at Belbek airfield, and the technical operations section of Belbek airfield were also hit.

Most likely, a MiG-31 interceptor in the BM version was destroyed in Crimea, which should not be confused with the MiG-31K carriers of Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles.

It is known that MiG-31 interceptors are based at Belbek airfield. Forces of the Alpha Special Operations Center hit one of them on December 18, 2025. In total, in 2025, the SSU targeted 12 Russian aircraft and three helicopters.

“Each such operation has a clear logic: we methodically destroy key elements of the enemy’s military infrastructure – the fleet, aviation, intelligence, and air defense. This is not only a direct loss of equipment, but also the destruction of the enemy’s ability to control space, cover its forces, and plan new attacks. This work will continue until Russia stops its aggression against our state,” Yevhen Khmara, Acting Head of the SSU, said.

Monitoring channels Crimean Wind and Exilenova+ confirmed a massive Ukrainian drone attack on Sevastopol on the night of April 26.

According to monitors, the first wave of the attack began at around 9:30 p.m. with explosions in the area of Cape Fiolent, where several Russian military units are stationed, as well as the Belbek and Kacha airfields.

Local residents reported hits in the area of the radar company, the reserve air defense command post in Yukharina Balka, and in the area of the Black Sea Naval School.

The second wave of drone attacks began at approximately 03:30 and lasted for about two hours, until 05:30. During this attack, airfields were again targeted, as well as ships in Sevastopol Bay.

The local occupation administration also confirmed the massive Ukrainian attack. According to the so-called “governor” of Sevastopol, 71 Ukrainian drones were “destroyed” over the city.
