The Oleksandrivka direction remains one of the hottest sectors on the front line, where Russian forces continue intensive assault operations. At the same time, Ukrainian troops are using active defense tactics and have achieved some success, according to Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi. The general made another working trip to the combat zone and met with the command of an army corps, as well as the 31st and 67th Separate Mechanized Brigades.

Syrskyi said that large-scale Russian assaults involving heavy equipment on this section of the front have nearly stopped. Instead, Russian forces are actively using drones, artillery, and small infantry groups.

"In turn, Ukraine’s Defense Forces are using active defense tactics. Whenever possible and appropriate, they go on the offensive and are achieving certain successes," Syrskyi said.

During the visit, commanders briefed him on the current situation in their sectors, as well as the supply of weapons and military equipment, including drones, unmanned ground vehicles, and artillery ammunition.

According to Syrskyi, particular attention was also paid to troop rotations along the line of contact and further implementation of combat operations.

"I thanked the soldiers and their commanders for their resilience and courage," Syrskyi concluded.

Earlier this month, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Oleksandrivka direction and met with servicemen from the 31st Separate Mechanized Brigade, which is defending the junction of three regions.

Ukrainian troops recently liberated 12 settlements in this sector of the front. At the junction of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, Ukrainian forces continue to press Russian troops intensively. According to the General Staff, citing the Air Assault Command, Kyiv soldiers liberated nine settlements on the Oleksandrivka direction in the past week alone.

After Starlink cut off the connection to Russia, for the first time in many months, Ukraine began liberating more territory than it was losing on the front. In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as a result of counterattacks and assault operations, control was restored over more than 300 square kilometers of territory.

“As of now, nine settlements have been liberated. Three settlements have been cleared of enemy forces in our zone, and work is currently underway to liberate several more,” the report states. “Units of the Air Assault Forces continue to press the enemy, liberate Ukrainian territory, destroy occupiers, and methodically cut their logistical arteries,” the Air Assault Forces Command reports.

Ukrainian paratroopers are using a combination of precision and massed strikes to destroy Russian manpower, weapons, and military equipment.

“The operation was conducted according to a defined plan, and within a week, due to technical measures, Russian access to the Starlink network was restricted,” the Air Assault Forces adds.

This significantly impacted the occupiers’ situational awareness and complicated unit management in the initial phase. As a result of Ukrainian actions, enemy firing positions, ammunition depots, and personnel were destroyed. According to intelligence, this disrupted the Russian unit’s offensive plans and created a bridgehead for tactical Ukrainian advances.
