3 killed in crash on State Road 32 near Lebanon

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. — Three people were killed in a crash on State Road 32 near Lebanon Sunday afternoon.

In a press release, the Lebanon Police Department confirmed that its officers — alongside Boone County Sheriff’s deputies — responded to the 4700 block of West State Road 32 around 6:13 p.m. to investigate a serious crash. When police arrived at the scene, they located a two-car crash.

LPD indicated that three unresponsive individuals were trapped inside one of the vehicles involved in the crash. Police reported that all three of the entrapped individuals were ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

There were also occupants trapped in a second vehicle involved in the crash. The second vehicle’s occupants were extricated from the car and transported to Indianapolis-area hospitals for medical treatment. Law enforcement did not specify exactly how many individuals were trapped inside the second crashed vehicle.

LPD is still actively investigating the crash. The agency indicated that it would release additional information about the incident as it becomes available.
