(FOX40.COM) — One person is in critical condition after a car crash that involved several vehicles Sunday evening, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Around 7 p.m., SPD responded to the area of 16th Street and E Street for reports of a three-vehicle collision. Police said one person was transported to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries.
Surrounding roadways are closed while first responders investigate.
